How to measure your couch for a throw cover
Choosing the right throw cover for your couch starts with accurate measurements. If you want your cover to fit well, drape beautifully, and create a relaxed finished look, it is important to measure both the depth and the width of your sofa correctly.
Our measuring system is simple. On the photo guide, the depth is marked with numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. The width is marked with numbers 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.
Step 1 – Measure the depth
Start with the depth of your couch. Using the guide photo, find the depth measurements marked as:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Choose the numbers that match your sofa shape and the way you want the throw cover to sit. Add together all the relevant depth sections shown in the photo. This will give you the total depth you need.
Step 2 – Measure the width
Next, measure the width of the couch. On the guide photo, the width sections are marked as:
6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
Add together all the relevant width sections to get the full width of the area you want to cover.
Step 3 – Combine depth and width
Once you have both measurements simply select the depth and width you need from our menu.
For a softer, floor-touching look
If you would like your linen throw cover to fall beautifully and reach the floor, it is best to choose a size that is slightly larger. A little extra fabric helps create a more elegant drape and a relaxed, fuller look.
Please allow for fabric shrinkage
When choosing your measurements, please also keep in mind that linen can naturally shrink a little after washing. We recommend allowing approximately 2–3% shrinkage when selecting your size.
This is especially important if you want the throw cover to keep a generous drape after laundering.

add together all depth sections first
then add together all width sections
choose the closest matching size from our menu
size up slightly if you want the cover to lie beautifully on the floor
allow 2–3% for natural shrinkage after washing
