Natural Linen Futon Cover for Comfort and Protection
If you use your futon as a couch, lounge seat, or occasional bed, a linen futon cover is the best way to keep it clean, comfortable, and looking fresh for years.
Unlike a mattress cover that is designed mainly for beds, a futon cover is made specifically for furniture that is frequently used for seating. Futons are often placed in living rooms, guest spaces, or reading corners, where they function more like a sofa than a traditional mattress. A removable cover helps protect the futon from everyday wear while maintaining a neat and inviting look.
The average lifespan of a futon is typically 5–10 years, and using a washable cover can significantly extend its durability. With a removable linen cover, you can simply take it off and wash it whenever needed — keeping the futon fresh, hygienic, and comfortable.
Practical Zipper Design
The zipper on our linen futon cover is placed along the long side of the cover, extending slightly onto the shorter sides (approximately 4–8 inches on each end). This placement makes it easier to remove and put the cover back on the futon.
If you prefer a different zipper placement, we are happy to accommodate custom requests. Simply leave a note through our custom order form and we will adjust the design accordingly.
Seam Placement for Wider Covers
For futon covers wider than 54 inches and 4 inches in height, a seam will be present on the top and bottom panels. This is due to the maximum fabric width of 59 inches (148 cm).
The seam can be positioned:
• in the center of the cover
• closer to the zipper side (basic)
Most customers prefer the seam closer to the zipper edge so the visible top surface appears cleaner.
